All Abilities Gymnastics
Inclusive Gymnastics for ages 5 – 17
HYC’s All Abilities inclusive gymnastics program is designed for young gymnasts with additional needs, including those who may be neurodivergent or have physical disabilities.
Lessons are planned around individual students’ abilities, offering a supportive and adaptable environment for every participant to thrive. Classes have the entire gymnasium to themselves, offering a quieter space for students who may become overstimulated by crowds or loud noises, and allows for greater flexibility with lesson plans. Parents, guardians, and/or carers are welcome to be involved in classes but are not always required.
All Abilities is not only about learning gymnastics but also skills that can be taken into life outside of the gym.
Socialisation
Classes include group time at the beginning and end of every class, encouraging gymnasts to mingle with their peers, increasing social awareness.
Confidence
Encouraging students to create achievable goals and reaching them fosters confidence.
Motor Skills
Classes build upon motor skills through gymnastics circuits that involve basic rotation movements, weight transferring, bending, shape-making, bar hangs and jumps.
Cognitive Development
Helps stimulate cognitive growth as children are using both sides of their brain when exposed to gymnastics skills.
Fitness and Coordination
Gymnastics helps with all-around fundamental movement, fitness, strength, and coordination.
Fun!
Tailored lesson plans and goals help to make classes fun by focusing on skills gymnasts are interested in to practice and learn. Fostering a positive relationship with sports and lifelong healthy habits.

We have an Athlete Profile Form you can fill out which will assist our coaches in providing the best possible support for them in their gymnastics lessons.
8 years & under: Saturdays 11:30am – 12:15pm
8 – 12 years: Saturdays 12:15pm – 1:00pm
12 years+: Saturdays 1:00pm – 1:45pm
